Pacific Geriatricians Group is a community based practice of Specialists in Geriatric Medicine, Geriatric Psychiatry and Neuropsychology with expertise in cognition and functional status.

Our doctors are all also active clinical faculty with the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine and Specialist Consultants in the Vancouver Coastal and Providence Health hospital networks. 

Previously due to conflict of having solely health authority based practices our physicians were limited in the medical legal work that they could provide. At our community office we are now able to offer this service without constraint.

Our doctors have experience with providing expert opinions and some have experience as expert witnesses in court.  We work directly with legal firms throughout the Province of BC.  

Our Doctors have experience including but not limited to

• Committeeship evaluations requiring opinion on capability of decision making of person, health care or finances.
• Capability for completing or changing a POA.
• Capability for completing or changing estate planning.
• Full Neuropsychological assessment for cognition (Dementia) or post brain injury.

Medical Legal Reports

Each assessments results in a thorough report which is delivered to the requesting law office. Based upon the complexity of the case and the desire of the requesting firm this may be done by a physican alone or collaboratively with a Neuropsychologist.  From this report an affidavit may be drafted.  If follow up assessment or information is required our experts are able to provide this.  Testimony in court is also provided.

All fees are charged according to the Doctors of BC fee guidelines.
